Bryan and I'm and eavesreader...and it's about time I let others know.I usually read a book on my morning and afternoon commutes to and from work. But on the recently less rare occasions that the metro is overcrowded during the morning I'm unable to hold a book in front of my face since the people standing around me are pretty much on top of me.
It's on these occasions that I check my email on my blackberry, people watch, or more often than not eavesread. I don't pick up a copy of the Express on my way into the metro because my plan is to read my book.
I used to think I was a unique character, until last week when I saw a man also eavesreading. Now, compared to this guy I'm a casual eavesreader. I'll glance over people's shoulders, catch a headline and maybe read a couple articles or blurbs. But this guy was full on reading every last word of another person's newspaper. He went so far as to move when the person stepped further into the car.
Needlesstosay, I no longer feel weird about my casual efforts at catching a headline or two...and neither should you!
